Dr. Safiya M. Hassan is a lecturer at geology department Beni Suef University, Egypt and now has joined AEON through a post-doctoral fellowship at NMMU. She did her research at the Jackson School of Geoscience at Austin, USA and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University, NewYork, USA. She obtained her PhD from Cairo University in 2011
