The book provides a general over view of urban air quality modeling with a special focus on the Neuro- Fuzzy approach. The primary pollutants emitted by vehicular sources in typical urban settings viz. CO and NO2 have been analyzed using Neuro-Fuzzy models. The application is preceded by a comprehensive discussion of these models. The models can be used for forecasting ambient air quality which forms a very critical input for any local air quality management strategy. The book also provides a comparative assessment of various modeling approaches through a detailed literature review. In addition, performance of existing line source models well established in literature has been compared with the developed Neuro-Fuzzy models. Further the book also provides detailed analysis of vehicular pollution data through a case study of two major traffic intersections and one straight road stretch in the capital city of Delhi, India.
