Autorenporträt
Andreas Walter was born in 1958 in Sonneberg, a town in southern Thuringia, Germany. He completed his school-leaving exams and military service without any problems. Then he studied medicine for four years in Leipzig and Erfurt but had to drop out due to severe psychological problems. He later resumed his studies, only to ultimately give them up when diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He then worked in the wholesale trade for toys and handicrafts for three more years. Since 1991, he has been receiving a disability pension. For a long time, Andreas Walter fought against his illness, which had taken him completely by surprise as a young man. He ultimately came to the realization that he couldn¿t defeat it and had to learn to live with it. With the writing of his book, he is fulfilling his life¿s mission. Andreas Walter possesses a remarkable talent for mathematics and is an avid reader. He is single and without children.
