Anuruddha M Abeygunasekera obtained MBBS with first class honours in 1990. In 1996 he obtained MS in Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, Sri Lanka while winning the Gold medal. In 1999 he obtained FRCS (Edinburgh) and FRCS (England). He is the co-editor of the Ceylon Medical Journal and a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Sri Lanka
