Andrew Johnstone is associate professor of American history at the University of Leicester. He is the author of Against Immediate Evil: American Internationalists and the Four Freedoms on the Eve of World War II . Andrew Priest is senior lecturer in history at the University of Essex. He is the author of Kennedy, Johnson and NATO: Britain, America and the Dynamics of Alliance, 1962--68.
