The F-4 Phantom II was the USAF workhorse fighter-bomber for the Linebacker campaign, which eventually saw US forces withdraw from Vietnam 'with honour' in 1973. Peter Davies has written or co-written nine books on modern American combat aircraft, including the standard reference work on US Navy and Marine Corps Phantom II operations, 'Gray Ghosts'. He is based in Bristol. Jim Laurier attended Paier School of Art in Hamden and has been working professionally in the field of Fine Art and Illustration ever since. As a pilot he combines his love of history with his flying experiences to create some of the most realistic and historically accurate aviation paintings seen today. Jim has aviation paintings on permanent display at the Pentagon and has been published in many books, magazines, and calendars.
