Rice is a cereal that almost the entire Brazilian population eats. It has a large agricultural production, mainly due to its ease of adaptation to the climate and different types of soil in Brazil. As well as the grain, the cereal is also made up of its husk, which can be put to different uses, as indicated by some of the research studies into viable alternatives for reusing rice processing waste. This research report presents the results of a literature review on the use of rice processing residues in Brazil and seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the possible uses and applications of this resource in a sustainable manner. This research used the Systematic Bibliographic Review (SBR) as the method for collecting and analysing bibliographic data.
