The book promotes cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary perspectives, acknowledges gender issues and proposes context-sensitive guidelines for learning technologies use. "Exploring Learning Technologies" is divided into four parts: Part One looks at personal understandings of reflective practice and the orientation towards technology. Part Two analyzes selected papers in the fields of: administration/management; frontline views from teachers/designers/librarians/counsellors; policy; technology implementation and gender issues. Part Three uses the information provided in the previous papers to produce a model of reflective practice. Elements, issues and concerns for practitioners in the developing world are also discussed. Part Four focuses on guidelines for practice and implications for the future.
