The direct and indirect activities of the construction industry have relevant environmental aspects and impacts, from the collection of non-renewable raw materials for the production of building materials to the disposal of waste from the construction stages. Therefore, in order to contribute to the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge regarding the construction of buildings with a lower environmental impact, the scope of this book is to study the use of mineral waste in the production of mortars for laying and coating masonry. The main aim of the book is to contribute to the state of the art on the viability of replacing cement content with limestone quarry waste (RPPC) and porcelain polishing waste (RPP). To this end, the mortars produced were characterized physically, mechanically, chemically and micro-structurally.
