Nowadays, education is everywhere; every student possesses, carries, and uses a mobile device or a peripheral type of mobile assisted language learning devices for social and communication purposes. Then, the best use of 'smart' mobile phones should be a convention for students in all fields of education. Numerous language courses and activities are available online for teaching and learning. Since these mobile devices are now in the hands of all students such an implementation is long overdue. The results of a number of studies indicate consistent uncertainty regarding the effectiveness of MALL devices and applications as language learning and teaching have described the use of mobile devices in language learning. The number of studies in Kurdistan Region in terms of the influence these devices have on developing listening and speaking skills remain relatively low and consequently unsatisfactory. Indeed, the literature lacks research exploring the integration of any novel approaches in the field of language pedagogy in Kurdistan Region. Few researchers appear to have considered how to use these devices in support of a pedagogical approach that is not teacher-led.
