The paper represents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to evaluate the use of wood waste ash as an additive to cement in the production of concrete. Results from the study showed that increase in wood waste ash demanded corresponding increase in the water/ cement ratio, and that lower compressive strengths were observed when the wood waste ash content in concrete was increased. It was also observed that setting time of the Wood Waste Ash / Ordinary Portland Cement pastes increased with increase in wood waste ash content. Produktbeschreibung
From the results of the study, it can be concluded that concrete modified with wood ash can be adequately used as mass concrete and plaster material, and that mixing should be done by mass, not by volume for accurate results.
