Phosphorus is the major yield-limiting nutrient, globally. The recent estimates that world s P reserves end by 2050 compelled scientists to explore the alternate means of crop phosphorus nutrition. The use of ACC-deaminase rhizobacteria for improved crop yield is now well established. However, no study reports the role of ACC-deaminase rhizobacteria in improving wheat yield based up on their phosphate solubilizing activity. The present book focuses up on the possibility of utilizing phosphate solubilizing ACC-deaminase rhizobacteria for sustainable wheat production under low-phosphorus-input agriculture.
