Autorenporträt
David Gladen earned a bachelor of arts from Minnesota University, but he really learned Russian while serving in the Air Force. He translated this account from Russian as a favor to his father-in-law, James A. Decker-a noted horn player who was a personal friend of Valeriy Polekh. Gladen currently lives in Minnesota.
