Validation explores the inadequacy felt when we are unable to live up to the expectations of society. It also explores the phenomenon of people turning to the internet for instant gratification and validation for their actions, getting virtual shares and likes that ultimately mean nothing.

H.J. Pang was born in Singapore and works as a research engineer. He enjoys writing slice-of-life and humorous stories as he believes there is something to be learnt from both funny and serious situations. In his spare time, he reads, writes and goes to museum exhibitions. He is also the author of the post-apocalyptic thriller The Last Server.
