The town''s central district contains the usual commercial stores but also many hotels. Valle Hermoso sits at an altitude of about 1,000 meters providing a lovely climate. High enough to moderate summer heat yet low enough that winters are mild. Climate, peace and tranquillity which draws thousands of visitors during the summer months of December through February when town population can double. Several large, old, hotels provide extensive recreationfacilities. Hotel Vaquerías, over a century old, sits in a hillside niche with artisian springs, swimming, horseback riding, and much more.
