The municipality of Vallehermoso is located on the southwestern and northwestern coasts of La Gomera in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife of the Canary Islands. Its capital, the town of Vallehermoso on the north coast, is linked with a main highway encircling every part of the island and is located WNW of the island capital, San Sebastián de la Gomera. The population is 3,141 (ISTAC, 2005), its density is 47.6/km² and the area is 109.11 km²/10,911 ha, some reads 109.32 km². The elevation is 230 m. Vallehermoso is the second largest municipality in area. Farmlands are in the valley areas and within the Atlantic, the mountain and the hills dominate the central part and part of the coastline are cliffs. Its climate is mainly vegetation.
