Investment in infrastructure development often needs a huge quantity of land. In many developing countries, infrastructure development projects are not sustainable due to land valuation conflicts. Mostly land valuers have assessed land value based on their experiences and without inference. The current land valuation for land acquisition in infrastructure development in Nepal is done conventionally and is not based on its objective analysis of geographical location and other criteria affecting land value. Therefore, land valuation and acquisition in infrastructure development is most critical in Nepal. These dilemmas have led to a new orientation for the land valuation and management. This book aims to show land valuation model for land acquisition in infrastructure development from livelihood perspective.
