India - National Curriculum Framework, 2005 echoed the vision of education where values are inherent in every aspect of schooling. The content in text books of upper primary and secondary classes have values. The teachers were trained how to integrate values in teaching and learning process in their class rooms.The training focused the values inbuilt in text of various subjects/ lessons in secondary and upper primary levels. In Dindigul district, the entire secondary and upper primary school teachers were trained on value education. This book traces the impact of VITAL training inputs in select trained teachers' of standard VIII class room practices.
