State Highway 73 serves as a main arterial route in the township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.6 square miles (92.2 km²), of which, 35.3 square miles (91.4 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²) of it (0.87%) is water.As of the census of 2000, there were 175 people, 66 households, and 48 families residing in the township. The population density was 5.0 people per square mile (1.9/km²). There were 89 housing units at an average density of 2.5/sq mi (1.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.86% White, 0.57% Native American and 0.57% Asian.
