Vegetables grafting is a new motivating technology for agricultural world. It transports to grafted plants the improvement of growth, productivity and quality, and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. So, it is an obligatory solution for organic and sustainable vegetables production. Tomato is an eco-globally very important crop that is infected by the Orobanche ramosa weed. After being attached to the roots of its host, broomrape draws water and nutrients necessary for its development. The objective of this work was to assess the value of grafting for the productivity of the tomato, under infestation or not by the broomrape. In the first instance, the susceptibility to the broomrape of many rootstocks resistant to soil-borne parasites was determined. The results has shown that tested rootstocks are different in the degree of susceptibility to broomrape. In a second step, the effect of grafting on tomato productivity and sensitivity to broomrape was analyzed with three rootstocks and two different varieties. The effort has shown the benefit of grafting on the productivity of the tomato under conditions of infestation by the broomrape.
