Marianne Schwartz first received a degree in early childhood education and was a preschool teacher for 15 years. She went on to receive a degree in childhood education for grades 1-6, and then completed her graduate degree in literacy education. Marianne began reading to her own children when they were infants and is an avid reader. She has always included a picture book in every lesson plan she has written.
