This book is a mirror to the wide experience that the writer has personally traversed and observed in the lives of the several people who have touched her life. The sea-changes that came about in her life after picking up from where she left while still in her teens have lent life to the poems. Making U turns in life is a rarity, and women reconcile to the fact that the choices they made were for the sake of the family. The writer instils the belief, especially among women, that instead of outsourcing one's happiness and success, everyone should take charge of his or her life and face challenges head on. The criticisms and the countless roadblocks that come in the way are the biggest hurdles and when you finally see light at the end of the tunnel, it truly is a Eureka moment. This book attempts to capture those everyday emotions one battles with the self, more than the rest of the world. The journey of self-awareness is fraught with challenges and surely is the best teacher of life's lessons as well.

Autorenporträt
Dr. Manjula Rajan is a passionate teacher and has extensive experience in teaching at various levels. She has loved writing, especially poetry, ever since she was in school. Writing has been a soothing and emotional outlet for her. Besides being a teacher and a writer, she enjoys cooking for family and friends. Having travelled extensively; across the country and overseas; and taught students from various cultures, she understands the myriad emotions that people go through during the different phases of life. This experience lends authenticity to her poems and the reader can relate to both the mundane and complex thoughts that are mirrored in her poems. Personally, Dr.Manjula Rajan has been a torchbearer to multitudes of women in India who had to shelve their dreams of achieving academic excellence. Despite an early marriage while still in her teens and family responsibilities that followed, she went back to college with her children and there has been no looking back. She has proved that the pursuit of dreams comes without an age bar!
