Undoubtedly, the innocent man who dies on the cross has changed the history of humanity. It has changed it historically, to the point of causing a break in Time (before and after Christ), and ethically, with that revolutionary and so often unheeded message, a message that cannot ever stop sounding unreasonable, even paradoxical: "Love thy neighbor as thyself". This epochal and ethical upheaval cannot be reduced to a purely religious question. This is not about accepting or denying a particular faith. Rather, it is about confronting an event, a narrative which cannot leave us indifferent. And precisely because it cannot leave us indifferent, it never stops being relevant to us in the present time.
