The book presents a reliable and valid adult victimization test developed by the author, which includes scales of vulnerability to manipulation, aggressive, dependent and non-critical behavior, realized and general victimization. The first part of the book contains an analytical review of the main results of victimization studies abroad. Its second part is the author's research on victimization in Russian-speaking society. It is shown that psychological victimization of victims of bullying is the source of their negative emotional states. Intra-personal predictors of victimization have been studied. Relationships between victimization, Machiavellianism and behavior in the conflict have been revealed. Linkages between victimization and extraversion, neuroticism, psychological sex, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, behavioral styles, externality, motivation to avoid failure, with the direction of the personality and its self-confidence have been established. Determinants of professional victimization in the workplace are described. An extensive bibliography of publications on victimization is given.
