Beatriz Albuquerque was born in Portugal and has won the Myers Art Prize: New Media, New York. She has a BA and BFA in Design from Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto; Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Art at Columbia University, New York.
