In pensione dall'istruzione superiore, l'autrice è un ingegnere elettrico. Dopo due anni nell'industria, si è iscritta all'Università di Tlemcen, dove ha conseguito un Master in Fisica dell'energia. Ha proseguito la sua carriera presso l'Università di Scienza e Tecnologia di Orano, nel Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica.
