Vincent Codrington (born July 18, 1956 (1956-07-18) (age 55) is a cricket administrator and former rugby union player. He played rugby union as a fly half for Richmond and also served as its Director of Rugby, during its transition from amateur to professional rugby. He succeeded Joe Hardstaff as Secretary of Middlesex County Cricket Club in 1997 and has since assumed the role of Chief Executive. As a keen cricketer, he opened the batting for Barnes Cricket Club. Rugby union, often simply referred to as rugby, is a full contact team sport which originated in England in the early 19th century. One of the two codes of rugby football, it is based on running with the ball in hand. It is played with an oval-shaped ball on a field up to 100 metres (330 ft) long and 70 metres (230 ft) wide with H-shaped goal posts on each goal line.
