Viola Township is one of twelve townships in Audubon County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 196. Audubon County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 6,119 in the 2010 census, a decline from 6,830 in 2000. Its county seat is Audubon. The county was named after John James Audubon, the noted naturalist and artist. According to the 2000 census, the county has a total area of 443.58 square miles (1,148.9 km2), of which 443.13 square miles (1,147.7 km2) (or 99.90%) is land and 0.44 square miles (1.1 km2) (or 0.10%) is water.
