According to special Rapporteur on violence against women, of its causes and effects, Rashida Majoo, militated during the meetings of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2007, that violence against women should become a public matter, because it: 1. Represents a violation of human rights; 2. Represents an obstacle for development; 3. It is a matter of whose solution depends on democracy and good governance. For this, the elimination of violence against women is based on three elements: the creation of an efficient legislative protection, the establishment of public policies and promoting self-esteem and respect for others, without discrimination. In this respect, the book analise the regulation of Counsil of Europe and UE regulation, integrating some aspects of the Romanian and Spain Regulation.

Lavinia Mihaela Vl¿dil¿ es profesora titular de derecho penal en la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Administrativas de la Universidad de Valahia de Târgovi¿te, Rumania. Tiene 18 años de experiencia docente e investigadora, periodo, en el cual, ha publicado 10 libros, más de 30 estudios y ha participado a numerosas conferencias internacionales.
