This project consists of the creation, design and development of an interactive simulator of celestial bodies with a certain degree of physical realism in an immersive Virtual Reality environment. The simulation includes a detailed three-dimensional view of a galaxy and a non-rotating black hole (for this part we have worked with a simplified version of Albert Einstein's general relativity equations), in addition to an exclusive view (image provided by the Port of Scientific Information of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) of high definition 360 degrees of the universe seen from the…mehr

This project consists of the creation, design and development of an interactive simulator of celestial bodies with a certain degree of physical realism in an immersive Virtual Reality environment. The simulation includes a detailed three-dimensional view of a galaxy and a non-rotating black hole (for this part we have worked with a simplified version of Albert Einstein's general relativity equations), in addition to an exclusive view (image provided by the Port of Scientific Information of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) of high definition 360 degrees of the universe seen from the Earth, in which images of other celestial bodies can be selected and visualized without going into detail. The implementation has been done with the video game development engine Unity (2019 version) and the virtual reality equipment HTC Vive virtual reality equipment.
