After a lifetime teaching in the Scottish Highlands of his birth, Iain moved to Devon to escape the rain and the midges. Iain's previous books are "Like an Ocean Shelf" a political thriller set in the Highlands and a volume of two fantasy novels "Corries Timeless Travels and Travails", for a younger age group. Iain is currently working on the first in a trilogy of historical novels set around the Scottish wars of Independence in the thirteenth century. He is also collaborating in the writing of a musical "Chalice of Strife" set during the Jacobite rising of 1745/6. He has also written poetry and short stories
