Autorenporträt

John Peter Allemand was born near Karlsruhe in southwestern Germany and raised in Stuttgart during World War II. There he was a witness and survivor of a devastating Anglo-American air raid on that city during which the bomb shelter in which he, his mother and a sister had found refuge suffered a direct hit. At age 13, he accompanied his family to America and a new home in the Chicago area. After graduating from high school and college, he served with the United States Army followed by a career in engineering. He subsequently obtained his MBA degree and worked for a number of multinational companies in marketing and international management in the Sates and abroad. Peter retired to the Phoenix area twelve years ago and now reads and writes on Christian and historical topics.
