Patrick Joyce is Honorary Professor of History, University of Edinburgh, and Emeritus Professor of History, University of Manchester. He has also served in visiting Professorships in history and sociology, including at the University of California, Berkeley and San Diego; the London School of Economics; and the European University Institute in Florence.
