Autorenporträt
Erin Mahoney Harris is a mother, writer, and aspiring homesteader living in Santa Monica. She maintains an urban "microfarm" at home, growing an edible garden in an assortment of beds and containers and keeping quail for eggs. She and the kids would love to get a milking goat, but the neighbors aren't too keen on the idea. Ditto for beekeeping, although she hasn't given up on that dream just yet. Erin has written about travel, urban farming, outdoor adventure, and sustainable living for LA Parent magazine, The Huffington Post, KCET.org, RedTri.com, and WeekendSherpa.com. She is currently working on the third edition of her popular guidebook Walking L.A.: 38 Walks Exploring Stairways, Streets, and Buildings You Never Knew Existed (Wilderness Press).
