Visual channel plays a fundamental role in activating cognitive and psycholonguistic process of learners, since it displays all types of non-verbal information that can result in processing and retrieving aural input. Accordingly, the present book is an emperical study establishing a theoretical background concerning various type of visuals in listening test and presents some models of listening comprehension proposed by Gruba entitled "Connectionist Cognitive Processing" and Brindley's "Interactive Model". This is a great collection of research studies in different ESL/EFL contexts and can be a good reference for University students at M.A. and Ph.D. level.
