"Visual Field" offers a poet's eye view into a world of diminishing vision as Jan Haag negotiates the early stages of glaucoma, a journey she is making alongside her 93-year-old mother, whose own eyesight is fading. The 22 poems in this collection, however, reflect a world that is not narrowing but expanding as the poet looks at life's smallest moments, as well as elements in the natural world, with a grateful heart.
