Product engineering enterprises faces their
customer s demands, to manufacture products with the
highest quality for the less amount of money, more
and more comprehensive and individualized. So far
only the manufacturing and production aspect has been
considered, now the customer s demands more detailed,
advanced and customized problem solutions.
Consideration of not only the production aspect, but
the whole product lifecycle are needed.
Based on the advanced manufacturing equipment
available at this project and in order to render the
possibility of realization of a virtual model of the
(FMS), the implementation, communication between
different software applications and the FMS, a FMS
with affiliation to the Higher Flexibility System
Concept has been developed. A theoretical work and
contributions with the HFSC according to relevance,
usefulness and utilization within the FMS is
elaborated. A practical implementation, including
communication between DELMIA V5 Robotics, custom made
interface and the FMS, visualization, offline
programming methodologies, has been done to set up a
demonstrator for the verification of both feasibility
and usefulness of the theoretical contributions
