The author, a former player and several times advisor to youth teams, would like to share, through these lines, his experience in the field of football. In a refusal of subjectivity and blind fanaticism, the author, with a footballing eye, takes a critical look at football in the DRCongo. The footballing sphere of the latter being dominated by the fanatics of AS Vita and CS Imana, does not favour the arrival of sponsors. The experience of the author since his youth as a player and manager of football clubs in Kinshasa, is inevitably the source of inspiration for this book, undoubtedly interesting for any sportsman in general and the footballer in particular. The book consists of three chapters, the first of which deals with the introduction of football in Congo with the creation of FC Renaissance, the common ancestor of Vita and Imana. The second chapter shows how the two sports clubs, as a result of both endogenous and exogenous causes, are a hindrance to the development of football in the DRCongo. The third chapter deals with fetish practices in football.
