Interest in vitamin D has increased due to studies showing its non-calcemic effects, its deficiency being associated with obesity and other chronic diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus. The aim of this study is to determine vitamin D levels in overweight and obese patients, evaluating vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency and its relationship with body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), blood pressure, glycemia values, lipid profile and HOMA index.
