Charles Wade Bell (born January 3, 1945 in Ogden, Utah) is a former middle distance runner from the United States, who represented his native country at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. He is best known for winning the gold medal in the men''s 800 metres event at the 1967 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada.Bell ran for the University of Oregon and the Oregon TC. He was a member of the Oregon TC 4xMile team which, in May 1968, bettered the world record for that event, although it was never ratified by the IAAF. Bell won the 800m event at the NCAA in 1967 and the AAU in 1967-68.
