Discrimination against women in terms of earnings is considered to be widely prevalent. Gender inequality thus affects growth and hence income levels. However, in the Indian context, there have been very few systematic quantitative studies of gender-based earning differentials. This book is a study of corporate offices of Delhi undertaken to find out the actual wage differences between women and men workers and to filter out the component of wage difference attributable to gender bias.
