Cheryl is a chick who loves God, her family, people and adventure. But, not even photographing wild animals in Africa prepared her for the adventure of stepfamily life. She readied herself and supplemented her education with certifications as a Biblical Lay Counselor in Women's Issues through the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a Step-Family Educator through the National Step-family Foundation. Cheryl is also an ordained minister, a Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts facilitator, a speaker at conferences and retreats and the author of 4 books. She recently launched Stepmom Sanity, a Christ-centered sister circle of support, comprised of a blog, podcast, retreats, Facebook community, bible studies, and books to help stepmoms thrive in their roles without losing their minds. Cheryl, and her husband, Jonathan, who attended her first wedding, live in Michigan in a home frequently invaded by adult children looking for food.
