This book is about Wajerat dialect with its unique features and with its well-known local color and culture in the southern Tigray, Ethiopia. Among the unique features are its polite pronouns, which are used to show age respect. The dialect does not have pronouns, which express class distinction. This manifests the community's democratic and equality principle ( qanci'). It is said to be an archaic variety of Tigrigna though it has its own set of innovations and retentions, which are often not the same with the standard Tigrigna.
