From the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, author Robert "Bob" Medina offers readers a book of essays as quirky and delightful as an ice cream cone on a sunny Florida day. Immerse yourself in the wonder of Medina's mind. He does not disappoint. From "Checking into Heaven" to "Summer Snow" and "Animal Crackers," Medina's varied and satirical take on everyday things (even the celestial) will have you laughing out loud, pondering long-ago forgotten thoughts, and delight in being alive to "Read This Before the Words Expire." Robert "Bob" Medina is a retired firefighter, chef, and transplanted New Orleanian. He got his cooking chops at home with his family and in the firehouse where he was the cook, putting to good use all he had learned from his family. Robert lives in Northwest Florida with his wife, Lori.
