La autora es urbanista y tiene un máster en planificación por la Universidad de Cincinnati (EE UU) y una licenciatura en arquitectura por la India. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la planificación sostenible y el desarrollo regional. Su experiencia laboral como investigadora asociada en la India y como planificadora en Estados Unidos la ha inspirado a investigar sobre la transitabilidad.
