William (Bill) Casey is a researcher, historian, biographer, and author of three books on William Stamps Cherry, the first American who explored the heart of the heart of then unexplored Africa in the years 1889 to 1900 and who turned the lights on there. Bill documented the history of Sierra Nevada College at Lake Tahoe from 1969 to 2009 in a 1,010-page, three-volume series titled, The Architects of SNC. He holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Nevada Reno and a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from Sierra Nevada College.
