Produktbeschreibung
Walking Tall is a roadmap to healing for anyone who has lived under, lives in currently, or knows of someone living in domestic violence. With the author, Calli J. Linwood opening up her personal journals and sharing her dark and painful experiences of living under the clenched jaws of domestic violence, the reader will be sure to embrace this book and say, "Finally! Somebody who understands." Not only is this a brilliantly written manual for getting free from domestic violence, it is a picture of the redemption of Jesus Christ. This is a must-have manual for every pastor, pastor's wife, women's shelter worker, volunteer, and friend. The information embraced within its pages is an excellent counseling tool for anyone who works with abuse victims, or who knows of individuals caught in the trap of violence. There is a way out ... there is an answer. Calli uses much Scripture and personal prayers throughout, in order to lead the reader down a path towards freedom, giving Christ all the glory for her own freedom and strength.
Autorenporträt
Calli J. Linwood is a survivor. She, along with her children, lived in the darkness of domestic violence for over ten years. After a particularly terrifying incident, fearing for her children's safety, Calli found the strength, in Christ, to get them of the situation. Now she is on a mission to bring light to the darkness of domestic violence and spends her life rescuing others from the same trauma she found herself in.
