Amongst other things, displays cover archaeology, Wallingford Castle, and the town in mediaeval and Victorian times. An audio tour is available. The museum is in an attractive flint-faced house (the exterior is 17th century, and the timber-framed interior is possibly late 15th century) and faces onto the Kinecroft, an open space in Wallingford which is bordered on two sides by Anglo-Saxon burh defences built in the 9th century.
