KENNETH C. ULMER has served as senior pastor-teacher of Faithful Central Bible Church in Los Angeles, California for over 37 years. Dr. Ulmer is past president and adjunct professor at The King's University and founding board member of this institution founded by Dr. Jack Hayford. He also has served at United Theological Seminary, Biola University, Fuller Theological Seminary and the former Long Beach, California campus of Grace Theological Seminary. Dr. Ulmer is the Presiding Bishop over the Macedonia International Bible Fellowship, with churches representing South Africa, Great Britain, and the United States. He has done post-graduate study at Hebrew Union College, the University of Judaism, Christ Church, and Magdalen College at Oxford University in the UK. He earned doctorates from Grace Graduate School of Theology and United Theological Seminary. Dr. Ulmer has written several books, including: Spiritually Fit to Run the Race: a Guide to Godly Living; In His Image: An Intimate Reflection of God; Knowing God's Voice; Passionate God; and Passing the Generation Blessing. Alyssa Holmes is a graduate of Howard University, where she received a B.F.A. in Dance Arts. Although Alyssa's first love is performing arts, she also has a passion for writing poetry and songs even if she never thought she would share her writing talents beyond her family and friends. Alyssa aspires to work in the Dance, Music, Musical Theatre, and TV/Film industries with one of her goals being to combine her loves for writing, music, and the arts into a songwriting career. She serves faithfully in the Music and Arts department of Faithful Central Bible Church and is currently a middle school dance teacher in Los Angeles. This study guide, a collaboration with her pastor, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, is her first professional literary endeavor.
