Lisa A. Crayton once wanted to be a physical therapist. That changed when she fell in love with writing while taking an eight-grade journalism class. A former corporate publications editor and writer, she is an editor and an award-winning writer. As a children's book author, she has written fifteen books for kids and teens, and co-authored six others. She loves coaching writers, and especially enjoys speaking at writers' conferences. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from National University, and a bachelor's degree in public relations and journalism, cum laude, from Utica College.
